What are missed calls
actually costing you?

Most home-service businesses miss between a quarter and half of the inquiries that come in, because the phone rings while you are on a job. Put your own numbers in and see what that is worth over a year.

Missed work, per year

$69,306

That is about 2.8 missed inquiries a week. Allowing that 15% of them come back anyway, and that you would only have won some, that works out at roughly 50 jobs a year.

Atrium answers the ones you miss.

It replies the moment an inquiry lands, asks what you would ask, and hands you the job ready to confirm. At $99 a month, it pays for itself if it saves you less than one job a month.

Where these numbers come from

  • Missed-call rate. Studies of home-service businesses put unanswered calls between 27% and 62%, with the worst rates at small operations whose staff are physically on site. The calculator defaults to 35%, near the low end, so the result is conservative.
  • Call-backs rarely work. Around 85% of callers who cannot reach a business do not try again, and most contact several companies, hiring whoever answers first.
  • Close rate. The calculator only counts a missed call as lost money if you would have won the job, which is why your own close rate is one of the inputs.

This is an estimate built from your inputs, not a promise. It exists to make a rough number concrete, not to be precise to the dollar.
